AN APOLOGY TO MY READERS (OR SOME OF YOU)

Yesterday I published a Post before it was finished and edited. I published it in error at 1 p.m. and went out to a movie (Manchester By the Sea -- do not miss it -- a film of profound beauty, sadness and incredible acting). By the time I returned to my computer at 6 p.m. hundreds of you who have signed up to receive these Posts by email had read it (and, in some instances, I'm sure, shared it with others).

The Post -- The Sad, Sad State of Now -- will now be edited and expanded and published in its final form in a few weeks.

My apologies and thanks for understanding.

As a follow up to the post on Silence perhaps we should urge Jerry to take a picture in front of the trump Hotel sign when he attends the Conference of President's Chanukah event hosted by Azerbaijan. See the article in today's JTA bulletin about the 8 organizations that are boycotting the event.

Oh, he'll be there. Miss a chance to possibly score points with the new President? He may be in disguise until he gets through the door but he'll be there.
